Refund Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
This Refund Policy explains how TurboLap Karting reviews refund, cancellation, credit, and service adjustment requests for karting sessions, track bookings, group races, corporate events, celebration arrangements, guest lounge use, and related center services. TurboLap Karting is a modern karting center in Moorabbin, Victoria, with dynamic tracks, comfortable karts, competitive race energy, and a relaxed guest area. We aim to handle refund questions fairly while recognizing that reserved time, prepared karts, staff scheduling, and limited center capacity have practical value.
General Approach
Refund decisions depend on the type of service, timing of the request, whether the session was used, whether TurboLap Karting confirmed the booking, whether karts or space were reserved, and whether a problem was within our reasonable control. A simple booking cancelled early may be treated differently from a group event cancelled at the last moment. We review the facts of each request and aim to avoid unfair outcomes for both visitors and the center.
Before A Session Starts
If you need to cancel or change a booking before it starts, contact TurboLap Karting as soon as possible. Earlier notice gives us a better chance to release track time, adjust staffing, or move the booking. Depending on timing and booking type, we may offer a refund, partial refund, credit, reschedule, or no refund. Group bookings, private sessions, corporate events, and celebration reservations may have stricter handling because they can block time, require staff planning, or involve preparation that cannot easily be reused.
After A Session Starts
Once a session begins, refunds are more limited. If a visitor chooses to leave early, changes interest, dislikes a lap time, arrives unprepared, feels disappointed with a race result, or cannot participate for a personal reason outside TurboLap Karting control, a refund may not be available. If a serious venue problem prevents reasonable use of the booked service and the issue is within our control, we may review options such as extra time, session change, partial credit, reschedule, or partial refund.
Operational Issues
Karting depends on karts, track access, timing tools, staff coordination, building services, safety checks, and guest behavior. TurboLap Karting is responsible for reasonable care of center equipment and local service, but we cannot control every transport delay, personal scheduling issue, third party event, or situation outside our reasonable control. If an operational issue occurs, visitors should notify staff during the session so we can try to resolve it. Requests made only after the session may be harder to verify.
No Refund For Certain Situations
Refunds are generally not provided for poor lap results, lost friendly competitions, personal skill issues, group disagreement, failure to arrive on time, choosing the wrong session, ignoring staff instructions, violating center rules, or being removed for unsafe, abusive, damaging, or unlawful behavior. Refunds may also be denied where equipment was damaged, time was used, or the issue resulted from the visitor's own conduct.
Reschedules And Credits
In some cases, a reschedule or center credit may be more practical than a cash refund. Credits may be limited by date, service type, availability, or booking conditions. A credit is not the same as an unlimited right to any future race. If we offer a credit, the terms should be understood at the time it is provided. Missed rescheduled sessions may not be eligible for further changes.
Group And Event Bookings
Group sessions and events often require more preparation than ordinary visits. TurboLap Karting may reserve track time, organize race order, schedule staff, prepare guest areas, or decline other bookings to hold the time. Because of this, cancellation and refund handling may be stricter for group or event bookings. Deposits, preparation fees, or used time may be non-refundable where the center has already committed resources.
How To Request A Refund
To request a refund, provide your name, contact details, booking date, session time, service purchased, amount paid, reason for the request, and any relevant evidence. If the issue happened during a session, explain whether staff were notified and what was done. Clear information helps us review the request faster. We may ask follow-up questions before making a decision.
Evidence And Fair Review
Refund reviews work best when the request is specific. A clear timeline, staff names if known, receipt details, and a short description of the issue help us compare the request with booking records and operational notes. We do not require guests to use formal legal wording. We do need enough information to understand whether the issue involved unused time, a center-controlled problem, a personal change of plans, or a situation outside our reasonable control.
Late Arrival, No Show, And Contact
If a visitor arrives late, the missed time may be treated as used time because the session was held for that booking. TurboLap Karting may try to help when capacity allows, but extending the end time is not guaranteed. If a visitor does not attend and does not contact the center before the session, the booking may be treated as a no show. No show bookings are usually not refundable because the reserved space could not be offered to another visitor.
